Ok, so its been close to 3 months since my last blog post. I know, I know its been too long. Well so much of LIFE has been happening so here I am now : ) I wanted to give an update on my grandfathers renovation progress. To date it has been completed 100%. This video was taken in June and I'm just now posting it! The contractors did any excellent job and you can't tell this is a 40 year old home!
The den, living area, kitchen, hallway and bathroom floors received a facelift! It's so fun to see before and after pictures of a home once it has been rehabbed or renovated. I can't wait to do half of the things to my home that he has done. My grandfather asked if I would put the contractors information on my blog to give them some exposure (he is so thoughtful). Andrews Construction, owner is Jeremy Andrews phone number (903) 806-0257. The company is in Henderson, TX but they will travel to the Dallas, Fort Worth area for jobs.
Check out the Part 2 after video! If you can't remember the before video scroll down and view the video from April......

What This 72 Year Old Man Has to Say About Maintaining a Home
So I took a trip to visit my family last week, my mom and grandparents. My grandfather is in the middle of a major renovation and I had a chance to talk with him about it. Now you have to understand my grandfather he is a retired, active, healthy 77 year old that hasn't slowed down since he retired. He is a very sharp carpenter, electrician, welder, builder...lol. I mean he can pretty much do anything, STILL! I had a chance to meet the contractor and his crew hired to do the job but you better believe my grandfather is not just standing by watching them have all the fun!
He truly takes pride in making sure his home is in great shape, safe, looks good and updated. I have to admit when I leave East Texas I am motivated to make some changes or upgrades to my house and/or landscaping. I'm still working on him to create and draw plans for my patio deck I'm having built next spring, keep your fingers crossed!

What Does Wrestling and RE Investing Have In Common?
So I'm sitting in the American Airlines Center with my friend Tom who invited me out to the WWE. As I'm sitting there enjoying the "Show" I started asking why are people so excited about huge hercules looking men (and woman) that live in the gym, dress up to act out and fly around the ring to land on each other. So I asked myself what does wrestling and real estate investing have in common?
1. Action and excitement
2. Opportunity
3. Alot of people involved
4. BIG BUCKS!!
#3 stands out because in RE Investing alot of people involved have yet to do there 1st deal, make any money or understand no cash no credit investing. Here is a great article on RE Investing No Cash No Credit.
Check out my WWE experience, happy investing : )

Pulling my hair out from the same email!
I'm here at Starbucks reflecting over the past week. Overall it was a good productive week. I have been doing everything from reviewing deals to learning more about blogging and different ways to share information and resources with you : ) I ran across one blogger who is an investor also and she hit on something that caught my attention concerning emails from different Real Estate Gurus promoting the same product. (Like she read my mind or something)
Lately I've received a ton of emails from probably the same Real Estate Gurus. Seriously every other email is about this one product....lol. I was tired of hitting the "delete" button. Not to say the material isn't good but you (maybe a new investor) want to make sure the material is good for you. There are several ways you can find out:
1. Ask other investors you trust or know about the material.
2. If they would recommend the material.
3. If the material is out dated or not.
4. Do some research on that Guru
The real estate game has changed ALOT over the last couple of years so Carlton "what's his name" strategies may be impossible to use. (Nothing against him just making a point).
Don't forget this is a GREAT time to be in the Real Estate Investing world! Here is a great source to get information.

Twitter Me This Twitter Me That
For those of you that have been following me for a while I'm sure your saying "Thank God she finally updated and changed her blog"...lol. Well I do agree it has been long overdue. I have been busy with deals, marketing and training new partners.
I must admit I have become a Twitter junkie. For those of you that haven't heard of twitter are "old school internet users" (I had a friend of mine tell me that a few months ago). So what is Twitter? Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length. Updates are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them. Do you see how powerful this is? More exposure more opportunities to link with quality people, network and do business.
I have only been on Twitter for about 3 weeks and generated 500 followers and over 350 following me. Now for some twitter pros this is nothing but I have recently focused more time on how twitter works and resources to help me attract more followers. I have discovered a tool that will allow me to get thousands of new followers in days. I will keep you posted throughout the process.
I started using TweetLater about a week ago and its a great tool to automate your tweets and I'm all about automation!
If you don't Twitter, beware you may get hooked.

My Partner Closed His First Real Estate Deal
I'm really excited for one of my partners Chris. He closed his 1st wholesale deal and made $7000. I must say this 20 something year old young man is a true example of someone who is self motivated and determined to be a successful real estate investor. I first met Chris several months ago through another partner and from that meeting I loved his energy, attitude and willingness to learn.
After searching Craigslist, placing bandit signs and searching several online lead sights Chris was able to get a HOT motivated seller (from the bandit signs) interested in selling their property. The owner was 70 something years old and he had 2 brothers that inherited the property.
The are many different ways to obtain leads and it doesn't hurt to be a little creative with how you get them, as long as its legal of course : )
Need more leads? Click here to get FREE leads for 30 Days. Please share and report if you get any deals from the source. I would love to know if you closed any deals.

My dogs are pooped from New Years...
Happy New Year to you! Wow what a 2008 it was my dogs Dexter and Ceily are pooped! We partied like a rock star New Years Eve!! Not really we enjoyed a quiet evening at home watched TV, played music and danced with Dexter and Ceily : ) This picture was taken around 2am New Years Day.
We have some exciting things happening in 2009. One is my live "Makin it with Lo Radio Show" and additional up to date and powerful information and resources about Real Estate Investing, Entrepreneurship, Network Marketing and Creating Streams of Income I will share with you to make your 2009 more prosperous and productive as ever.
Keep in mind that 94% of people dwell on the negative. 6% see an opportunity in nearly everything that comes their way.
I'm looking forward to 2009. I'm convinced it will be a year of great opportunity, as it will also be a year of great change.
The best advice I can give is to "prepare for change". Keep a level head, work-out what is working and what is NOT working, mix this with an opportunity, and change accordingly. If your horse is dead, get off it and find another (I'm into riding several horses at a time). If your horse is wounded, then decide if you are going to fix it or shoot it – BUT whatever you do – DO SOMETHING - take action
To Your Success,
Lo
